Snik, un genio del stencil.

Cuando vi por primera vez la obra urbana "Lady in Red", quedé alucinado, un precioso stencil de 5 metros pintado en Bristol y firmado por Snik, pero cuando sigues viendo el resto de sus obras, te das cuenta de que aquella mujer de rojo no es una casualidad entre otros tantos aficionados al stencil y que en realidad estas ante un gran artista callejero.

When i first saw "Lady in Red", i was stunned, a beautiful 5 meters stencil work painted in Bristol and signed by Snik, but when you keep watching the rest of his works, you realize that this work is not a chance, and you're really faced with a great work of a great street artist.

Lo que más me gusta de Snik, es que me puedo identificar con él, al igual que yo, creció con el graffiti de la vieja escuela, y a penas había nadie más en su comarca que compartiera esa afición, pero cuando vio los trabajos de Orticanoodles, C215 o Logan Hicks, enseguida se dio cuenta de que lo que le gustaba era el stencil. Sus trabajos son puro arte, él dice "trato de crear chispas de belleza en los aburridos y tristes espacios mundanos", y lo consigue, busca los límites de las plantillas y explora con todo tipo de materiales y técnicas, sin duda, Snik ha conseguido estar a la altura de sus influencias.


What I like about Snik, is that I can identify with him, like me, grew up with old school graffiti, but when he saw the work of Orticanoodles , C215 or Logan Hicks, soon realized that what he liked was the stencil. His work is pure art, he says "I’ve tried to create sparks of beauty in otherwise dull and mundane spaces", and it succeeds, looks for the limits of the stencils and explores all kinds of materials and techniques, certainly, Snik has managed to be at the same level as their influences.
