Obey en Copenhague, Parte 2

Los chicos de Arrested Motion a traves de su fotógrafo colaborador Henrik Haven siguen documentando la visita de Shepard Fairey a Copenhague con motivo de la exposición Your Ad Here que Obey va a inaugurar mañana por la noche en la V1 Gallery en la ciudad danesa.

The boys of Arrested Motion through its contributing photographer Henrik Haven continues to document the visit of Shepard Fairey to Copenhagen for the Obey's exhibition Your Ad Here that will open tomorrow night at V1 Gallery in the Danish city.

En su primer mural Obey representaba una paloma de la paz a stencil, en este segundo trabajo representa dos fusiles con flores en el cañón hechos a stencil sobre un fondo degradado y con un mosaico de carteles representativos suyos. Es genial ver como Shepard está haciendo mucho hincapié en la paz (aunque su estilo se vea influenciado por la cartelería militar rusa del siglo XX, que ironía verdad) con sus últimos murales, que además son de una calidad impresionante.

In his first mural in Copenhaguen, Obey has represented a dove of peace made with stencils, in this second one represents two rifles with flowers in the cannon, made on a gradient background and a mosaic of his most representative posters. It's great to see how Shepard is making a strong emphasis on peace (although his style is influenced by the Russian military posters of the twentieth century, what an irony) with his lastest murals, which are also of outstanding quality.

Entre los carteles que ha pegado como fondo del mural, Shepard ha colocado su famosa parodia del periódico The Sun con la noticia "Are we Betraying The Planet?" (¿estamos traicionando al planeta?), sin duda Obey está usando de una manera genial su influencia a nivel mundial, arte con mensaje.

Among the posters pasted in the background of the mural, Shepard has set his famous parody of The Sun newspaper with the news, "Are we Betraying The Planet?" No doubt, Obey, is using his worldwide influence to make people think, art with message.
